Canvas and Canopy DIY

The Canvas and Canopy blog is amazing. All the gorgeousness that once was ilovelolliblog has been loaded into Canvas and Canopy's archives.  I've been meaning to share this DIY with you!  I was looking over my posts and I saw this little lovely never posted.  About  a month late.  Naughty Jenny. I blame dialup, but you can blame me. Here you go, a little treat for the long weekend!

When Cortnie asked me to do a party goodie tutorial for all of her lovely readers... I shrieked with joy.  I just about fell out of my chair. So here it is! My little lovely cake banner tutorial. Go visit Canvas and Canopy and learn how to make one, too.  Thank you, Cortnie!

Happy Bunting...Hunting for Bunting...Wide World of Bunting...

I’m feeling fun and colorful today. What a wonderful week. My shop is up and running with goodies still to come. We’re gonna have some lovely packages available soon! I promise. Happy days!

That little garland up there, well, I have a new type of garland up in the shop...FRINGE.

I figured I must not be the only one with new designs around and  it has been a while,so off I went to my favorite mall...Etsy.  Well, not technically a mall, it is a shopping center of handmade lovelies, and I could browse for hours...and its the first place I go when looking for a present or party goodie.

better than bunting

I have an obsession. It’s garland. What – you knew that already??? You didn’t, okay then, now you do. I am always flitting around finding lovelies to share. If I can’t have a bazillion of them, at least I can help someone find the perfect one. But today isn’t about that. Today is all about amazing goodies that are anything but garland…
Send a mini garland via the postman (or postlady in my case) How adorable and super teeny is this mini message by frenchtoastfriday?

Make your own lovely cards and stationary with this perfect little bunting stamp by olive manna.

Waking up to bunting? Yes, please. A lovely start to a lovely day. Handpainted Happy.Lovely mug with lovely little flags of sweet sentiment from indobaytextiles

This new line of fabrics (Castle Peeps) by the famous Lizzie House is awesome. Modern renaissance birthday party, anyone? The colorways are fab! And yes, I am debating on making bunting out of this bunting fabric. Castle Peeps in Flags by Lizzie House (at Whipstitch Fabrics)

She found the perfect use for those little bits of fabrics left over. Loving this eco-friendly shopping tote, need I say more? Reusable organic fair trade cotton tote bag with a splash of bunting by thegreengables.

This I adore. ADORE! How pretty would this be in a…well any room? Pretty party pennants painting (say that three times fast…) by heatherfuture.

P.S. I COULD NOT RESIST THIS POST- make your own bunting roller stamp over on Skip To My Lou blog.  Just popped up today! I adore this and her lovely blog.

Wood Garland

As I am working on a DIY for awesome fabric swag bunting, I saw this baby last week. WOOD-ent you love this in a shower?  KNOT for the traditional party, it's that little something extra awesome that'll make your guests do a double take.  You can have anything you WOOD want it to say printed on them. When I SAW this I went nuts.  Ha! Ha! I will stop with the wood puns, sorry, I couldn't help myself. Go check out this sweetheart on Etsy, custom wooden bunting at blissinateacup.

flora and fauna garlands

Ahhhhh...more lovelies. Everytime I search Etsy to see where my little garlands are hiding, I find other little pretties on the way. This is our fabric floral and fauna edition. So pretty!
I am loving strawberries right now.  Strawberry shortcake without the cake.  Just berries and cool whip, please!  Yes, I did make shortcakes, but I always have extra berries, in all their juicy glory, because two short people, who shalll remain nameless...eeehhhemmm...eat them all while you are doing the dishes.    These little fabric berries are so pretty I just want to eat them up! Strawberry Garland by RubyRed Crafts.

When I was little, we had a dogwood tree with gorgeous little white flowers in spring.   A dogwood tree was the original resident on my list of perfect garden plants that will surround my wrap-around porch. 'sigh' Other plants are a magnolia tree (the kind with the teacup sized flowers), white hydrangeas and aisles upon aisles of peonies. So loving this Dogwood Garland made by Middleburg Folk Art Studio. Each pretty little flower is painted muslin (LOVE!)

and I couldn't decide which was prettier, little white flowers or lovely handpainted (on MUSLIN!!!) robins.  Robin Garland also by MFAS.

Pretty little modern butterflies.  Ahh...we need a little girl in my clan.  Of course, I would love having these in my craft room, too! Flutter Garland by mamaiwawaki.

I Heart Garland

Sorry ladies, I have been so crazy busy that I have neglected to share some of my faves from etsy.  Did you miss them?  I have determined that I really need to have more parties just for the heck of it, just so I can use all of these pretty little garlands!

I saw this last week, and didn't click into it until today.  I was thinking, "what an awesome idea, so pretty and so simple, so martha..." So I clicked in today to get the links and boom - it says "as seen in Martha Stewart Weddings"  OF COURSE!  Lovely! Kuddos to dsharp!

I love buttons too, check out this cool paper garland.  I wish I had it for the baby shower! Blue Graph Paper and Paper Button Garland from packagery.

I have seen this seller all over the blogosphere... I love her pictures against a blackboard.   LOVE!  How incredibly creative. Love the flower garlands, made from fabric. Juicy Fabric Flower Garland from PrettySwell.

I am really loving the vintage pennant shape on bunting lately.  The classic triangle is awesome, but this is pretty darn cute.  I have been toying with the idea of doing a bunting sign for Taylor Street Market next weekend, and I think this shape (way bigger of course) would be pretty in muslin for my sign across the front of the table.  I love the colors! Pretty Party Bunting C from paperklipdesign.

I am a sucker for hearts. Its one of those things that I grew into (as my former anti-girly teenage self growls) and I now squeal in delight.  Wierd, I know.  It happens, I guess it could be worse.  I made a red felt heart garland for Valentines Day, I wish it was this cute.  red love garland by deardesire (love the shop name!)

gushing over garland

I obsess over garland and bunting.  Here we go again...

I LOVE PEEPS

Dana from MADE posted this bunting tutorial on V and Co. Which Dylan just emailed me about when she found it on The Moody Fashionista.  LOVE IT. Two obsessions in one, garland bunting and peeps.  Oh, how I love peeps. I simply must make this.  Even if I am getting home after Easter, to the top of my TO DO list it goes.

The color options are endless, like when I looked at them on MADE.  She even has door hangers!!! I LOVE you Dana, and I just found you today!
